We desire to pastor the 1000-member congregation down the street, appear on TV and jet off to nations in chartered flights.

We want our writings to win awards like the laureates.

We desire to ride in the Cadillac of our neighbours.

The pawpaw fruits in the other compound are fatter that ours? What did they do? Can we do the same to ours too?

I also get the ticks of teeny weeny jealousy when I see folks doing remarkable things. I feel I can do too.

We are humans. We desire greener grasses that are not growing on our own boulevards.

It will surprise you that the other person desires your own experiences too – perhaps, the peace you radiate or the compassion you embody. Our personal experiences really do matter.
